The South Dakota Hall of Fame is privileged to have inducted more than 600 men and women in recognition of their exceptional achievements in Champing the Culture of Excellence in South Dakota. These Inductees join the thousands of citizens who continue to contribute to the excellence that is the culture of the diverse peoples of South Dakota. The people of South Dakota are as diverse as the landscape. It is the people of South Dakota, past, present and future, who are remembered and recognized by the South Dakota Hall of Fame. Individuals from all walks of life who have contributed in Arts & Entertainment, General, Historical, Professional & Sports.
The South Dakota Hall of Fame was established in 1974 to recognize and honor those individuals Championing a Culture of Excellence for all of South Dakota. The South Dakota Hall of Fame is a non-profit corporation composed of a full-time professional staff and a board of directors consisting of South Dakotan’s dedicated to developing the organization and who encourage support of the organization. In support of the work of the “Hall” the 1996 state legislature designated the South Dakota Hall of Fame in Chamberlain as the official Hall of Fame for South Dakota.
