   Scotte (Ote) Berry
Champion of Excellence

Scotte "Ote" Berry has a very positive mental attitude and is well liked and respected by his rodeo peers. He was a spokesman for the Professional Rodeo Cowboy's Association for Steer Wrestling in 1984-85. He is very active in the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association in trying to promote rodeo as a truly American sport. He also is a fine example that professional cowboys are also professional athletes and very dedicated to their chosen profession. Ote teaches "bull digging" at steer wrestling schools to help improve the skills of young and upcoming athletes. The schools help these young athletes to polish up their own abilities.

After graduating from college, Ote began to rodeo full time. He qualified for the National Finals in 1985 and won the world championship that year, as well as in 1990. Ote married Jamie Smith from Oklahoma in March, 1989. Ote and Jamie own a small ranch in Cheocotah, Oklahoma, where they make their home. <p>
