   Edward Bulls
Champion of Excellence

 Eddie Two Bulls is a self-taught artist who has painted for more than 40 years. Like most Native American kids do, Eddie has sketched since childhood. He has also taught art in the country schools of Shannon County in South Dakota for several years.

During his younger years, Two Bulls competed in the sport of rodeo for 22 years in the Bronc Riding event. He is married to the former Cecilia BigBoy from Kyle, SD. Together they raised three boys and three girls, Eddie also raises a few horses on the ranch on the Pine Ridge Reservation. His main occupation is as a professional artist. His art has taken him from coast to coast and to the southland. In 1980 he was involved in an automobile accident, which has left him a paraplegic. Since then, his artwork has become full-time. <p>Two Bulls has exhibited his artwork in some of the nation's most prestigious arts organizations including the Smithsonian Institute, the Sears Vincent Price Gallery in Chicago and the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. In 1985, he received the Engdahl Award by the Sister Kenny Institute International Art Show for Disabled Artists, Minneapolis, MN. He has also demonstrated for a number of years at the Indian Arts Museum, in Colter Bay, WY, in the Grand Teton National Park.</td>
